Melissa Chipchura, BSc
Director of Marketing & Operations

Melissa (she/her) is our Director of Marketing and Operations and has been supporting Jump Gymnastics from Nova Scotia since early 2022! Melissa completed her BSc with specific course work in child development psychology at the University of Alberta. She’s lived in different parts of Canada and spent almost four years living in Poland. She has an extensive background as a hockey coach and program director. Melissa has been involved in grassroots programs for over 15 years in various capacities both locally and internationally.

In her spare time, she coaches a youth hockey team in a nearby town and enjoys spending long days hiking and on a SUP with her dogs.

Melissa’s favourite part of her job is the challenges it presents and knowing that she is supported by a team of wonderful individuals that embrace opportunities to learn, improve, and grow through self-reflection and empathy.

Her coaching philosophy is “Progress is a spiral, sometimes we have to circle things a few times before we get to where we want to go”.
