General Policies

Jump strives to make your experience with Jump (referred to us “Jump” or “us”) friendly, honest, and hassle-free. To make sure everyone is on the same page on what you can expect from us and what we expect from you and your child (collectively referred to as “you”), our general policies regarding our regular term programs, and camps are outlined below. Please make sure to read these policies carefully. If you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to reach out to hello@jumpgymnastics.ca .

  • We have a general set of rules that we expect all participants in our programs to follow:

All children must be supervised by a coach before entering the gym space, and the coach must be notified if a child is leaving prior to the end of class.

Respectful behavior from you towards staff and other participants is expected at all times. This includes but is not limited to: using an appropriate voice level, not hitting/kicking or biting other participants, and following the coach’s instructions.

Participants must follow the expected structure of the class or camp that they are enrolled in.

Proper attire that ensures the safety of all participants is required (e.g. no jewellery, long hair should be tied up, and buttons/zippers should be avoided if possible). We reserve the right to refuse your child’s participation if we deem their attire to be unsafe.

Participants should be cautious and aware of surroundings when moving around in the gym.

We adhere to our Code of Conduct and expect that you also adhere to those portions of the Code that apply to you. Please become familiar with our commitment to ensuring a safe and positive environment for everyone. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to terminate our relationship with you and your child if you do not comply with those portions of the Code that apply to you.

By entering Jump facilities and participating in Jump activities, you agree to be bound by our policies and guidelines and you acknowledge that failure to comply with our policies or guidelines may result in suspension of your registration.

  • When entering our facilities and participating in activities, all visitors and

participants (children and their adult companions) agree to the following:

    To stay home if feeling sick;

To sanitize hands upon entering the facility, with soap or sanitizer; and

To abide by all provincial and municipal guidelines, as amended from time to time, regarding health issues affecting the broader community (e.g. pandemics).

We take the health and safety of everyone involved with Jump seriously. Please do not come to class if you or your child are feeling unwell. You should not come to the facility or participate in activities if:

You don’t feel well and your symptoms are potentially contagious; or

Feeling unwell will significantly impact your participation and experience.

Please use our “Should I come to class today?” chart to support you in making choices about coming to class.

  • Email is our primary form of communication with you. Important information is sent out by email accounts that we have listed on file. If you do not wish to receive regular emails from us, you may opt out at any time by notifying us.

Payment Policies

We have updated our payment policies to align with our new program offerings. For your convenience, the previous payment policies will remain accessible until August 30, 2024. Please reference this information if you need to review the terms and conditions that were in effect before the recent changes. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we transition to the new policies

  • Registration and Fees
Registration for SSP Fall 2024 opens on June 1, 2024. Registration of your child requires a completed online registration form and the first of two equal instalment payments at the time of registration. The second payment is due on the first day of the SSP term and will be auto-billed to the credit card we have on file for you as per our pre-authorized payment policy below. Spaces are not held, and your child will not be permitted to begin classes until registration has been completed. All fees for SSP are subject to GST.

    Pre-authorized Payment
Upon registration, you are required to provide a credit card number to secure your child’s registration. By registering your child in Jump activities, you authorize us to charge the credit card identified by you during your child’s registration for the fees associated with your child’s registration. If you wish to make payment of your fees by e-transfer, your e-transfer must be received by us in advance of the payment due date.

Otherwise, your payments will be processed in the amount(s) and at the intervals indicated during the registration process.

    NSF/Late Fees
If your pre-authorized payment method is returned NSF, you will be

charged $30 for each instance. Accounts not paid as stated in your registration are subject to an accruing 5% monthly finance charge and we reserve the right to discontinue your child’s registration until the account is paid. We reserve the right to submit accounts that are more than 60 days past due to collections.

    Withdrawals
You may request withdrawal of your child’s registration in an SSP term.

Withdrawal requests must be made in writing via email to hello@jumpgymnastics.ca.

If we receive your withdrawal request 14 days or more before the term’s start date, we will refund you 90% of the first payment you made at registration and will keep the remaining 10% as a withdrawal fee. We will not charge you the second payment owing for the term.

We will charge you the second payment for the term on the start date of the term. If we receive your withdrawal request after the term’s start date, no payments will be refunded. If you fail to make a payment when due at the start date of the term, you will be considered withdrawn without refund of the first payment.

Missed Classes, Makeups, Closures and Transfers
For children enrolled in an SSP term, any absence will qualify for a makeup class which may be taken at any point in that term. You are responsible for scheduling makeup classes in the parent portal on our website at least 12 hours in advance of your desired makeup class. Makeups are subject to space availability and are therefore not guaranteed. Upon completing a full SSP term, any leftover unused makeups will automatically expire and will not carry over to the next term.

Except in cases of injury or long-term illness with a supporting doctor’s note, makeup classes for absences during an SSP term are the only recourse we offer.

We do not offer refunds or credits towards future terms for missed classes.

Classes that are supposed to occur on scheduled closure days for our facilities do not qualify for makeups. Unexpected closures (such as snow closures or other emergencies) will be marked as an “absence” and you will be able to schedule a makeup for that unexpected closure during the current term.

You may request a transfer of your child registration to a different time slot, day slot, Jump location, or a combination of those options, and we may, at our sole discretion, permit a transfer. Transfers to different time slots, day slots, locations, or your requested combination cannot be guaranteed.

  • Registration, Fees, and Punch Pass Usage

To register in Baby Jump, Toddler Jump, and Family Jump classes (each a “Punch Pass class”), you must purchase a full punch pass specific to each class prior to registration. Our fees for punch passes are listed on our website, and are subject to GST. To guarantee a spot in our weekly Punch Pass classes, you must pre-register when registration opens on our website, which typically occurs on the Sunday prior to the class date.

If you register in a Punch Pass class without first purchasing a punch pass, you will be automatically charged the full price of a punch pass for that Punch Pass class and you authorize us to charge you as per our pre-authorized payment policy below.

A punch pass allows entry into five (5) classes for that Punch Pass class only (e.g. a Baby Jump punch pass may only be used for Baby Jump classes). Once you have used up a punch pass, your further registration in Punch Pass classes is your agreement to purchase another punch pass, and you will be automatically charged the full price of a punch pass and you authorize us to charge you as per our pre-authorized payment policy below.

Punch passes purchased by you are non-transferable and may not be used by other parents or children. Punch passes do not expire, but please take note of our “Age-out” policy below.

If you are unable to attend a scheduled Punch Pass class for any reason and you notify us at least 1 hour in advance by email to hello@jumpgymnastics.ca, we will not take a punch from your punch pass.

If you do not attend a scheduled Punch Pass class or cancel within 1 hour of the class’s start time, you will be considered present for that class and we will take a punch from your punch pass.

    Age-outs
If you have purchased a punch pass for Baby Jump classes, and your child either reaches 18 months old or is able to walk prior to reaching 18 months old, your child will be considered to have aged out of eligibility for Baby Jump classes and we will convert any remaining punches on your

Baby Jump punch pass into a non-expiring credit on your account which may be used towards any future classes, camps, or events.

If you have purchased a punch pass for Toddler Jump classes, and your child reaches 24 months old, your child will be considered to have aged out of eligibility for Toddler Jump classes and we will convert any remaining punches on your Toddler Jump punch pass into a non-expiring credit on your account which may be used towards any future classes, camps, or events.

If your pre-authorized payment method is returned NSF, you will be charged $30 for each instance. Accounts not paid as stated in your registration are subject to an accruing 5% monthly finance charge and we reserve the right to discontinue your child’s registration until the account is paid. We reserve the right to submit accounts that are more than 60 days past due to collections.

  • Registration for our regular Camps (Spring Break, Summer, Winter Break) becomes available approximately 2-3 months prior to their respective start dates. Registrations for ProD School Closure Camps typically open in September for the following school year. Occasionally, schools will schedule additional ProD days, and we strive to update on our website with these additional dates and to inform you of these additional dates via our email newsletter. Fees for each respective Camp are listed on our website and are payable immediately upon registration, unless otherwise noted.

If your pre-authorized payment method is returned NSF, you will be charged $30 for each instance. Accounts not paid as stated in your registration are subject to an accruing 5% monthly finance charge and we reserve the right to discontinue your child’s registration until the account is paid. We reserve the right to submit accounts that are more than 60 days past due to collections.

    Withdrawals and Absences
You may request withdrawal of your child’s registration in a Camp.

Withdrawal requests must be made in writing via email to hello@jumpgymnastics.ca.

If we receive your withdrawal request 14 days or more before the Camp’s start date, we will refund you 90% of the payment in full you made a registration and will keep the remaining 10% as a withdrawal fee.

If we receive your withdrawal request within 14 days of the Camp’s start date or after the Camp’s start date, your payment in full will be considered forfeit and we will not issue you any refund.

Unless you withdraw your camp registration in accordance with the above, or except in cases of illness or injury with a supporting doctor’s note, we do not offer makeups, credits, or refunds for any absences from camps.
